Car Accidents
I represent clients seriously injured in auto, truck and motor vehicle accidents due to the negligent acts of third parties. Under Florida Statutes 320.01, a "motor vehicle" is defined as any vehicle operated on a public road way (other than by human power) that transports persons or property. Uniform traffic laws are applicable to all who operate motor vehicles on streets and public road ways. Every driver on the road has a legal duty to operate their vehicle with reasonable care and in a way that does not put other drivers and passengers at risk of injury. Unfortunately, people drive negligently every day and cause thousands of auto accidents, which in turn can cause serious personal injuries. Injuries from auto accidents can be severe, may require expensive medical treatment and rehabilitation, and have a significant impact on your life.
D U I
Being charged with a DUI can be frightening and confusing. You may not know the technical legal definition of a DUI, and therefore don’t understand the implications of such a charge. Driving Under the Influence is a serious criminal charge, and in no way should you attempt to defend yourself. If you are charged with a DUI in South Florida, consider retaining professional legal counsel.
No Valid Driver License
In Florida, ‘No Valid Driver’s License’ is a criminal charge that is based on a person operating a motor vehicle on a public highway without being licensed by an appropriate governmental authority. Penalties for this offense may include jail and, more often, the creation of a permanent criminal record.
Speeding Ticket
Speeding Ticket is a ticket issued for driving above the speed limit. Speeding tickets are governed by state laws and regulations. Most states have adopted the speed limit language from the Uniform Vehicle Code that sets absolute speed limits. Therefore, exceeding the speed limit is illegal per se in these states, regardless of whether or not it is safe. In some states, driving faster than the speed limit is prima facie evidence of unreasonable speed. However, the offender can argue in court that s/he was exceeding the speed limit but should not be convicted because the speed was safe. We can save you from receiving points on your licese, avoid increasing your insurance rates due to it.
